
The position:
We are looking for an engaging and versatile People Success Partner to join our team in Cape Town's CBD.
In this role, you will work alongside our Head of People (HOP) to elevate the People function and drive initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle. As a key member of the SnapScan Team, you will balance high-level HR partnership with the creative facilitation of our office environment, ensuring our workspace is a vibrant, well-stocked, and inspiring home base for our hybrid workforce.

Key responsibilities will include:
- People Operational Plans & Projects
- Collaborating and partnering with the HOP to co-create and implement project plans and initiatives to achieve the overall People Strategy.
- Contributing to the achievement of the overall strategic objectives of the People function.
- Talent Acquisition
- Collaborating with the HOP to create efficient and effective sourcing strategies for various roles.
- Designing and implementing selection tools (recruitment briefs, job specs, screening tools, interview guides, etc.) that ensure the placement of right-fit talent while providing an exceptional candidate experience.
- Taking quality briefs and partnering with hiring managers to ensure quality placements for vacancies.
- Building and maintaining a strong employer brand and EVP.
- Culture, Employee Engagement and Community
- SnapClan Leadership: Leading the social committee (SnapClan) to design and execute a year-round calendar of fun, creative social initiatives that drive inter-team connectedness and "SnapFam" spirit.
- Community Curation: Managing the physical office environment to ensure it serves as a vibrant "home base" that fosters spontaneous connection and collaboration.
- The "Snack & Social" Experience: Managing office perks—including the snack cupboard offerings—to ensure the office is always "people-ready" and reflects a high-energy start-up culture.
- Social Budget Management: Responsibly managing the social and initiatives budget to ensure maximum "fun-ROI" and equitable engagement across all teams.
- Implementing employee wellbeing initiatives that create a holistic sense of wellbeing and drive engagement.
- Monitoring the organisation's culture through employee engagement surveys and assisting with interpreting the results.
4. Employee Experience (EX) & Workspace Facilitation
- Delivering an exceptional Employee Experience across the entire life-cycle (onboarding, performance, L&D, offboarding).
- Workspace Hospitality: Serving as the "custodian of the vibe," identifying "moments that matter" and ensuring the physical office space embodies best practices in engaging our people.
- Office Facilitation: Ensuring day-to-day office readiness (coordinating supplies and vendor relationships) to maintain a low-friction, high-quality environment for the team.
- Facilitating the onboarding process and sessions to ensure new hires are integrated seamlessly.
- Overseeing offboarding, including conducting exit interviews.

- Governance & Compliance
- Leading the implementation of our Employment Equity Plan and ensuring compliance with EEA reporting.
- Implementing required people policies and processes and ensuring compliance.
- Administration, Analytics & Reporting
- Ensuring people databases and analytics dashboards are maintained for decision-making.
- Overseeing efficient, timeous, and accurate payroll administration.
- Ensuring all employee record-keeping is maintained and up to date.
- Stakeholder Management
- Developing and maintaining sound relationships with all relevant stakeholders to enable positive collaboration.

You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- A Bachelor’s/Honours degree in Human Resources or Industrial and/or Organisational Psychology
- A proven track record of success as an HRBP (HR Business Partner/Consultant) in the following People functions:
- Talent Acquisition (including exposure to competency-based selection tools)
- Job Profiling
- Full Employee Experience (from onboarding to offboarding)
- Culture & Employee Engagement
- People Metrics & Reporting
- Governance & Compliance - specifically with regards to the EEA implementation and reporting requirements
- Good understanding and knowledge of all SA labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, H&S, UIF, etc.), labour legislation and practices
- Bonus points for:
- Your experience above being within a high-growth Fintech or within SAAS, PAAS start-ups
- Demonstrable experience working with tools such as Miro, Jira, and Confluence
